NFL Draft 2010 Bombshells

OffshoreInsiders.com  Shea Matthews as some NFL draft bombshells.  Others celebrate Earth Day, fight for Kennedy Space Center tickets, or search for Mass Save rebates. Yes investors must keep an eye on Centurytel and Qwest mergers, but we are headed to the sports bar for the NFL draft live.

The closer tonight's drafts gets, the more NFL betting line scribes scratch their heads. I can't remember the last time there was so much uncertainty and such a plethora of bizarre rumors entering a draft. Here are a few potential surprises to watch out for – in random order.

1. An Albert Haynesworth trade

Every NFL expert or sports betting blog knows the Redskins seriously regret signing Albert Haynesworth and can't wait to get rid of him. Many different sources believe he'll be shipped back to Tennessee before the Titans pick at 16th overall tonight.

2. Jimmy Clausen falling to the Vikings at No. 30 overall

This rumor is picking up major steam. Reportedly, Clausen's interview with John Gruden, in which he threw a receiver under the bus, could hurt his draft stock. The Vikings, who still don't have a word from Brett Favre, could grab Clausen. Even if Favre returns, Clausen could learn under him the way Aaron Rodgers did in Green Bay.

3. A Ben Roethlisberger trade

This rumor is actually becoming less likely as the day goes by. The Bills and Jaguars were suitors, as were the Rams, but they've all reportedly bowed out of the race. The primary suitor was supposedly the Oakland Raiders but now I'm hearing rumors that they too are leaving the table. Too bad – Ben could've given hope to the Raiders' NFL futures for a change.

4. The Redskins trading up to take Sam Bradford

Whoa, daddy, this would be pretty wild. Similar to the Vikings with Clausen, the Redskins may opt to have Donovan McNabb help groom Bradford as their quarterback of the future. That said, Mike Shanahan wants to win now. Would he pass up the chance to draft a tackle to protect McNabb's blind side?

Another bizarre Bradford rumor in sports betting circles: Bradford has a wonky knee and that it's a "bigger concern than his surgically repaired throwing shoulder." It's just as likely that the rumor is a fabrication leaked by a team who wants Bradford to slip past the No. 1 overall pick.

5. A Darren McFadden trade

I haven't heard of any particular team interested in the disappointing McFadden but he's definitely on the block. You never know what could happen.
