NBA Betting – Magic end Texas back-to-back in San Antonio

Take a break from those Final Four odds for a minute and check out what should be a good game in the NBA on Friday night, as Orlando travels to San Antonio for a meeting with the Spurs, who are on the verge of booking their ticket to the postseason.

Magic vs Spurs odds – Friday, April 2, 8:30 PM ET

The Magic will play in Dallas on Thursday night in the first game of TNT's weekly doubleheader, and they would be coming off of a 103-97 win over Denver on Sunday, and they got a big game from an unlikely source. J.J. Redick came off the bench for 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in arguably the best all-around game of his career, while Dwight Howard had 18 points, 11 boards and five assists for the Magic, who were also 11-of-29 from beyond the arc. Redick is sometimes truly awful, but if he can put up more performances close to what he did against the Nuggets, he could add a little to the Magic's odds in your best online sportsbook.

The Spurs defeated Houston 112-109 on Wednesday behind a 30-point explosion from George Hill, who has gotten more playing time with Tony Parker on the sidelines. Richard Jefferson added 19 points for the Spurs, who shot a blistering 56.8% from the field, and outscored the Rockets 66-52 in the paint. The Spurs haven't been nearly as good as they have been in recent seasons with age and injuries creeping in, but they may be the most dangerous eight-seed in recent memory, and they can still move up the ladder.

The Spurs should be favored at home by sports betting odds, but beware as the Magic has won three in a row against the Spurs. San Antonio has a couple of edges in this clash, as they have won seven of their last 10 at home against the Magic, and Orlando will be playing a tough game in Dallas before travelling to San Antonio, where the Spurs have been resting and waiting. The Magic routed the Spurs 110-84 at home on St. Patrick's Day, but they needed no luck as they shot 52.1% from the field and went 10-of-23 from beyond the arc. The Spurs will be out for revenge in this contest, and they're going to have to get something out of Tim Duncan, who went 1-of-10 from the floor for five points, and they're going to have to get out on the Magic's three-point shooters. The Spurs have more to play for than the Magic, which should give them the edge they need to come away with the win. Go with San Antonio before making a Michigan State Butler pick in your sportsbook.
