NBA Picks, Odds, Spreads

Friday night features a packed NBA schedule with 13 sports betting match ups to choose from. Two in particular stand out as the Dallas Mavericks visit the Portland Trailblazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Phoenix Suns. Here are today's free picks.

Dallas Mavericks at Portland Trailblazers – Friday at 10:00 p.m. ET

Portland (48-30, 43-33-2 ATS) is playing excellent right now. The Trailblazers have won 11 of their past 13 games; they're coming off a 93-85 victory over the LA Clippers on Wednesday evening. They failed to cover, though, and have lost two of three against the spread. Still, the Blazers are a rock-solid 6-3-1 against the spread in their past 10 games on NBA odds. Portland is enjoying a solid run at home, covering three of its last four games at the Rose Garden.

Dallas (51-27, 32-44-2 ATS) snapped a two-game losing streak after beating Memphis 110-84 on Tuesday night. The victory improved the Mavs to 4-2 in their past six games. Dallas is also 4-2 against the spread in that span, although the team is a lacklustre 4-5-1 in its past 10 outings on NBA odds. The Mavericks have excelled on the road, though—they've covered back-to-back games and are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games.

The Mavericks and Blazers have shared a close series over the past few years and the Mavs are proving to be a tough out on the road. They'll keep it close.

Pick: Dallas

Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder – Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET

Phoenix (51-27, 45-31-2 ATS) took care of business against the Spurs on Wednesday, earning a 112-101 home victory. It improved the team to 11-1 in its last 12 games. The Suns have also covered four of their past five games against the spread, while enjoying a solid 6-3-1 run at the sportsbook in their past 10 games. The Suns have covered six of their last 10 games when playing away from home.

Oklahoma City (48-30, 46-32 ATS) has lost back-to-back games after Wednesday's 98-94 loss to the Denver Nuggets; that followed up a crushing 140-139 overtime defeat to Utah the night before. The losses come on the heels of a four-game winning streak. The Thunder is 1-2 against the spread in its last three games, though the team has still managed to go 6-4 on NBA odds in its last 10 games. Home-court advantage won't be in effect, though—the Thunder have blown three straight NBA betting lines when playing in Oklahoma.

The Suns are running wild right now, peaking at just the right time; this is the perfect spot to pick a road team. Bet on Phoenix.

Pick: Phoenix
