Felix Hernandez and the Mariners just took the series from the Yankees a little over a week ago in the Bronx and the tall righty absolutely dazzled and embarassed the Bombers in a two hit complete game shutout. But to ask King Felix to come close to repeating that feat is a bit silly and in revenge why not back the clear cut superior club?
Hernandez is an upper escheol hurler and certainly has the potential to dominate anytime he toes the slab, I wholeheartedly admit that. But like I said last night in the write-up before the trade regarding Lee in a very similar spot against Joe Girardi's club this is not a spot that is very conducive for success as the very very professional hitting Yankees will watch tape and make the necessary adjustments. The quality of at bats will be far superior today than against Hernandez at the Stadium and to get Arod, Tex, Jeter, Cano, Swisher and the much much much better Yankees at around a pick is too good to pass up.
Javier Vazquez was a total debacle in the first month of the season but has improved ever since. I can't say that I have complete confidence at all as the guy is not the same when on the Yankees compared to being a member of a National League squad. But he certainly has the stuff and the potential to be just fine here at Safeco.
Seattle's lineup is extremely weak as there is Ichiro, a couple of decent enough bats like Lopez, Bradley and maybe Branyan and then pretty much complete dreck. Even at home and even with the better starter the Mariners are not a good team and to get the elite Yankees at a near pick is good enough for me

For more information: I am many more times than not an underdog player but there are occasions when the run-line chalk is a lock and today is one of those rare occasions. A hefty nightime favorite is going to come through in blowout fashion to the tune of 9-1 or right around that neighborhood. Laying 1 ½ runs when a team is going to win by a touchdown is an easy, easy case to make.
I raised that bar on Friday with a monster 500,000* on the pick em Braves and took care of business in the 2-0 sweep. Two Saturday winners; The Ultra-rare 400,000* Run-Line Burial at night preceeded by a 200,000* Braves-Mets in the afternoon. Here comes another red hot run baby! Click now to purchase
