50-26 CBB WISE GUY PLAYS, 77-48 ALL CBB

The Industry Standard is what we've been known as since our JD of the ACC scorephone days. We've proven in every sport why. Tonight we build on our 50-26 CBB Wise Guy record for the year and 77-48 overall college record with a CBB Wise Guy play and three Majors, plus an NBA play as well. The latter is backed by one of our best theories and yes we disclose it. You get all of today's Joe Duffy's GodsTips  $17 at OffshoreInsiders.com.

CBB

TENNESSEE CHATTANOOGA +14.5 Tennessee

This one of those games where it's tough for the big brother school to match the intensity of their in-state rivals. You will see tonight why "BCS schools" rarely play road games against regional mid-major schools.

We know about coachspeak, but Vols coach Bruce Pearl echos what our sources say.

"They're a really good team," the Vol coach said. "They led Indiana 50-46 at halftime. They lost to South Alabama (which pushed Vanderbilt to two overtimes before losing). And the other loss was to Southern Illinois, which is a top-25 team."

Basketball is a game of matchups, and UT-C matches up reasonably well with the Vols. Like Tennessee, the Mocs have a deep bench and an upbeat style that wears down opponents.

"They play 10 guys," Pearl said. "McDowell, who transferred from South Carolina, shoots the ball in transition like JaJuan Smith and Chris Lofton. And their offensive strength – transition – is our defensive weakness right now."

It's Chattanooga's first shot in 25 years at home against the big boys from Knoxville. Again, this game means so much more for the Moccasins to remain competitive than it does for the Vols to blow them out.
